subsidies for

a floating circular clubhouse

From circular dream to growing impact
1. The question behind the questionPlastic Whale approached us with a specific request: to brainstorm ideas for a floating clubhouse built from recycled plastic. This ambitious and visible project perfectly aligned with their mission to transform plastic waste into valuable applications. During our initial discussions, it became clear that the real question was larger than a single project. Plastic Whale had a strong vision and many ideas to increase their impact. Subsidies could not only accelerate this but sometimes make the difference between merely conceiving plans and actually executing them. By delving into their ambitions, direction, and growth plans, we gained insight into where they wanted to go and how subsidies could support that process.
2. The path we chose — Accelerating with PartnershipPlastic Whale is a young and ambitious organization that dares to experiment and innovate. This brings opportunities, but also risks. Precisely in such an environment, a structural collaboration works best. That's why we opted for a
Partnership approachNot just a single application, but a collaboration where we brainstorm, look ahead, and can act quickly. Through direct communication and regular contact, we grew alongside their vision and plans. This created a rhythm where new ideas could be immediately translated into suitable subsidy opportunities. Subsidies were no longer isolated chances but became a strategic tool to accelerate growth and innovation.
3. The translation into actionA partnership requires investing in getting to know each other. Through structured consultations and joint reflection, we gained insight into how Plastic Whale operates, where their priorities lie, and which projects could make the most impact. From this foundation, we could proactively identify opportunities. Not just for the present, but also for the long term. Together, we built a strategic growth path where projects, schemes, and ambitions were aligned. This created an environment where ideas don't just sit idle but are further developed and realized.
4. From vision to accelerationThe strength of the collaboration lay in making impact visible and enabling new initiatives. A key moment was the realization of projects that made Plastic Whale's mission tangible, such as initiatives supported by subsidies from, among others, the City of Amsterdam. This allowed them to expand their activities and increase their visibility, for example, through public actions like water clean-ups. Subsidies provided the scope to take new steps and manage risks. This way, plans could be executed faster, and their impact grew step by step.
5. The Added Value to the ProjectWhat makes this collaboration special is the combination of trust, vision, and daring. We saw potential where others primarily saw risk. Even with a relatively young organization, we dared to invest in a long-term partnership. We combined knowledge of innovation and regulations with their mission. This allowed ideas to become reality instead of just plans on paper. We thought ahead. By consistently aligning with their ambitions, space was created to seize opportunities — now and in the future. For Plastic Whale, subsidies meant more than just funding. They became oxygen for ideas and a way to further grow and make their circular mission visible in society.
