Smart expense reporting with
real-time software
From loose receipts to smart financial workflows
1. The question behind the questionThe question was not only how this software could be technically developed, but especially how the innovative activities could be optimally brought under the WBSO scheme. Subsidies could make the difference here between investing with risk or accelerating with financial leeway.
2. The route we chose - Accelerating with WBSOFor this project, we chose a WBSO approach where technical development and subsidy strategy were closely aligned. Together with the development team, we clearly identified the technical challenges and translated them into a project description that met the assessment criteria of the subsidy provider. By structuring the process, the application trajectory became clear and efficient.
3. The translationOur role was to translate complex software development into understandable subsidy language. Through interviews with developers and project leaders, we filtered the core of the technical innovations and processed them into a clear and verifiable project plan. By monitoring deadlines and making clear agreements, the effort for the client remained limited — while the quality of the application was strengthened.
4. From vision to accelerationBy bringing the right activities under the WBSO scheme, room was created to further develop and improve the platform. In total, over 2,500 hours of development work were brought under the scheme, resulting in approximately €25,000 in tax benefits. This gave the organization financial leeway to continue development and further expand the platform.
5. The Plus on the projectWe made complex software development transparent and eligible for subsidies. We structured the application process, keeping the burden on the team minimal. We ensured that the technical effort was maximally translated into financial benefit. Thus, subsidies became an accelerator of innovation and not just an administrative step.
